Reading Endorsement Options at
OSU-Mansfield
Are you a
teacher interested in earning your Reading Endorsement (Grades K-12) and
completing most of your coursework here at the Mansfield Campus of The Ohio
State University? If so, OSU-Mansfield has a program schedule that might
work for you. Our graduate courses for teachers are scheduled from 4:30
to 7:00 p.m., one evening per week, for your convenience.
You can select
from two options:
1.
Earning your Reading Endorsement (can be completed in about two years)
Or
2.
Earning your Master of Arts (M.A.) Degree in the School of Teaching and
Learning at The Ohio State University while completing your Reading Endorsement (can
be completed in three years)
The program
can be scheduled so that only two courses must be taken at the Columbus Campus,
and you can select the quarters, for those two courses, that work best with
your schedule. Our Reading Endorsement program is preplanned, so you may
look ahead to see what courses you will be taking in future terms. And best,
the courses you complete as part of your Reading Endorsement can count toward
your Master of Arts degree, if you apply and are accepted into the graduate
program within your first two quarters of coursework.
Please note
that a passing score on the Praxis II Test, ŇIntroduction to the Teaching of
ReadingÓ (Test Code 0200) is also required in order to earn the Reading
Endorsement.
